The Lore Observer is a project started by Leonardo and Milo, two writers and gamers passionate about worldbuilding and creative writing.
We develop contents for Tabletop Roleplaying Games (TTRPG) such as maps, some concept art, settings and other worldbuilding bits. We may venture on other things too, like adventures and small experimental games.
Our blog started as a narrative experiment and home of many things we created in years of worldbuilding and roleplaying. In there, everything is narrated by an unfortunate traveler locked inside an endless library who wants to document all his findings. We are planning to make it home of our TTRPG related assets and games too.
The first commercial project we dove into, during the Make 100 initiative on Kickstarter. It's a book containing, well, 100 maps of fantasy islands. The cool thing is that the lore and description of the majority of the islands has been crowdsourced by our backers. Amazing stuff.
Leonardo is a software developer by day and passionate creative writer with a background in communications and media studies. He has worked for three years as product manager and creative director for a board game publisher, helping create a board game trilogy. The game world he created for these games is being adapted by UFO Press RPGs to a tabletop RPG.
Milo is a writer, m̶a̶p̶m̶a̶k̶e̶r̶ ̶e̶x̶t̶r̶a̶o̶r̶d̶i̶n̶a̶i̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶c̶o̶n̶c̶e̶p̶t̶ ̶a̶r̶t̶i̶s̶t̶ exceptionally humble dude that likes to mess on Photoshop. He’s able to craft worlds out of thin air and add incredible depth to almost everything just by adding a few sentences that precisely hit its worldbuilding and narrative core.
